About Refugee Brotherhood
Refugee Brotherhood is a community-based, refugee-led organisation dedicated to supporting displaced individuals and vulnerable host communities. Through programmes in livelihoods, psychosocial support, peace building, and advocacy, and strong partnerships with leading NGOs, we foster resilience, promote self-reliance, and create opportunities for all.
How We Work
Refugee Brotherhood is led by people who have themselves navigated displacement, and our programmes are built around what that experience actually requires: income that doesn't depend on paperwork most refugees can't get, support for the trauma displacement leaves behind, real relationships between refugee and host communities, and a seat in the policy conversations that decide how refugees are treated in Kenya.
Livelihood
Savings groups, small enterprise, and waste-to-income work that build economic self-reliance.
Psychosocial Support
Mental health and community support for people carrying displacement trauma.
Peace Building
Sport and community events that bring refugees and host communities together.
Advocacy
Policy engagement and coalition work pushing for refugee rights and inclusion.
